I am glad Pete Stark is not my congressman

My brother posted on Facebook Jan Helfeld's interview of Congressman Pete Stark. Pete Stark claims the larger the national debt is the wealthier the country is:

I'm glad Pete Stark is not my representative.

I was surprised by Pete Stark's gall to ask the reporter if he had a degree in economics. It seemed like Congressman Stark felt only people with PhD in economics were allowed to ask economic questions.

According to Wikipedia Pete Stark only has an MBA. Maybe Representative Stark shouldn't be allowed to answer questions about economics.

On the other hand, if he WAS your representative you could at least vote him out of office. :)

I am against borrowing more money, but I'm also opposed to more tax cuts for any class of people. To get back on track, we'll ALL have to pay much more to give our wealth back to the countries we owe money to. It's not real wealth, only borrowed wealth. An idea. I'm somewhat familiar with economics and the faster we circulate money the "wealthier" we (believe we) are because the more quickly we can spend money. I'd prefer real wealth if it's even remotely possible.

Anonymous - Pete Stark got something like 75% of the vote in the last election. I am afraid he would be hard to vote out of office.

I do think he should be voted out of office.
