How much time do you spend homeschooling your children?

I have enjoyed playing around with the poll widgets. I've created another poll. Note, this is asking how much time you spend homeschooling your children, not how much time your children spend working on educational activities.

the problem with this poll is it does not take into account how many children a person is homeschooling.

Are we talking about regular days or days when math takes three hours all by itself?

I'm with Christy! I answered by adding up each activity that I help with (in the time it should take) and tacking on an estimated amount of planning time. However, there are some (at times many) days when it takes much, much longer.

Mrs. Dani, I thought about that issue, but wasn't sure how to treat it. In some ways it would be nice to have a two dimensional grid with one axis being the number of children you have and the second axis being how many hours.

Christy and Cari, I'm just curious what the average number of hours are. I realize that there are days when you do much more, and days when you do much less.

Thanks.

For me teaching is all day, everyday. It's easier for me if I incorporate home schooling in with everything we do through out the day. I know I'm always teaching but alot of the time he doesn't even realize it was a lesson. It's just part of our whole day. We don't have a formal schedule.
