It is pretty scary just how many people knew so little about the costs of public education.
It might be fun to conduct a similar survey in my town. Maybe this would be a good homeschool project.

The journal Education Next had a study a couple issues ago that showed that people who thought teachers should be paid more were more likely to underestimate how much they were already paid. Many of the estimates were drastically low.
Wow! I had heard (from you [smile]) that it was a lot, I didn't realize it was that much. Thanks for sharing.
