Poll on Styles on Schooling

That tv show has a poll on styles of schooling. It is not very well written. They count unschooling and homeschooling as separate things.

Here's the latest poll results:

Which style of schooling do you think is best?

15%..........469..........Public school
9%..........366..........Private school
57%...........2120..........Homeschooling
19%..........719..........Unschooling
Total:
3674

Considering that unschoolers are homeschoolers, that puts homeschooling at 76% as the best style of schooling.

The numbers keep changing. When my mother-in-law checked the poll this morning homeschooling/unschooling was only at 70%.

So much for a raise of hands like they did with the show audience.

Hi - My wife and I homeschool our son, but I have to disagree with your assumption about that poll. What that poll actually says is that homeschoolers and unschoolers are more actively voting... NOT that it is the best way. I firmly believe that homeschooling was the best choice for OUR SON, but I certainly don't think it's the best choice for everyone, and the results of that poll are completely misleading.

I agree with you. It is no more scientific than when Dr. Phil asked for a show of hands in his stacked autdience.

wonder why they didnt interveiw...Hulk HOgan ( he homeschooled)...Will Smith (he homeschooled)...JO JO (she was homeschooled)..Tiffany EVans(she was homeschooled) Chyenne KImball (she was homeschooled)...Tim Taebo ( plays for Florida State Univ. -he was homeschooled his entire life)...How would have homeschooling looked to the masses then????????

Homeschoolers might be more actively voting than the people who were taken in by "that Show's" tactics - but when I looked at 8pm on Sunday - the results were 82% pro homeschooling. *evil grin*
