Selections from Homeschool Blog Watch - 10 April 2006

In addition to tracking down recent news about homeschoolers, Gary publishes at his Homeschool Blog Watch a list of recent blog posts about homeschooling. Here are a few of his recent findings:

At Mother Crone's Homeschool is a delightful account of a group of homeschoolers who put together a play.

The Accidental Homeschooler posts about how schools are struggling with the problems of junk food in public schools in Junk Food in School, or, Reason 468 Why I Homeschol.

And Isabel Lyman writes on her blog, The Homeschooling Revolution, about an effort in Florida to yet again expand the scope of public schools. This time the politicians want to start screening for signs of suicide. Given how effective public schools are in teaching students how to read, I'd be greatly worried about any effort by the government to evaluate the mental state of children.
