HomeSchoolBuzz found an article about how some homeschoolers use the newspaper to help with their children's education. One of the first things our daughters have done after they learn to read is to read the comics every day. Our paper has two pages of comics. It looks like we'll have to encourage our daughters to branch out to the rest of the paper.

In anticipation of a few hundred teachers coming to protest his 20/20 report, Stupid in America, John Stossel wrote a column, The teachers unions are mad at me. His basic point is that the teacher unions don't like what he said, but aren't challenging the facts he reported. He writes about how students in America are receiving an education which is worse than many other nations in the world.

From reddit was a link to an interesting article about Veena Vadini, a school in India, which teaches children to write with both hands, in two different languages.
