Another example of schoole waste

Along with scary teacher news, I may start keeping an eye out for school waste. Today at The Education Wonks, EdWonk posts about another example of public schools wasting tax dollars.

The opening line is: "An investigation of New York City schools has revealed that companies that tutor children as part of an $80 million program under No Child Left Behind have paid schools and offered bribes to principals and teachers in order to sign children up for lucrative contracts."

Again, as parents, tax payers, and citizens, when schools ask for more money, we need to push back and ask for greater accountability.
