Mission statement: On this blog we explore why homeschooling can be a better option for children and families than a traditional classroom setting. We'll also explore homeschooling issues in general, educational thoughts, family issues, and some other random stuff.

Would you like to present at a California Homeschool Conference?
I'll be there, teaching on classical education. Not because I'm impressively experienced, but because they wanted a classical person and someone said "I know, I'll ask my friend Jean!" How I wish SWB was doing it instead...
They're looking to invite more diverse POVs--they don't really want to be "the unschooling conference" apparently. It's just that up to now, mostly unschoolers have signed up to teach classes.

You should try to get Barb from Handbook of Nature Study & Harmony Art Mom blogs. She seems like a very organized, no nonsense homeschooler.
Janine and I have thought once or twice about presenting at the conference, but haven't thought of anything we feel especially competent in.
