My Favorite Liar has an interesting teaching style. A college professor told his students that there would be one lie in each of his lectures. The students listened carefully to catch the lie.

I'm working through "Made to Stick." One of the points they have is that curiousity comes from recognizing there are gaps in your knowledge.
This teacher greatly motivated the students to look for the gaps.
