Mission statement: On this blog we explore why homeschooling can be a better option for children and families than a traditional classroom setting. We'll also explore homeschooling issues in general, educational thoughts, family issues, and some other random stuff.
Thanks for the heads-up! I am glad to see a homeschool leader (Gregg Harris) saying out loud that public school hybrids and public school handouts endanger us all!
I'm looking forward to the release of this movie. In Pennsylvania, homeschoolers are constantly under fire from local school districts and families look to the cyber charters as a free and easy way to homeschool. We need to see the history and what people went through so we could have the freedom to homeschool. Thanks for posting this on your blog.
Kim - you are welcome. I agree, we need to stop the government from meddling with homeschooling. There isn't a problem here that needs fixing. Government should focus on public schools. Or even better, the Federal government should get out of the education business, and state governments should have some kind of widely accepted voucher. Kayluray - I'm reminded of the saying that those who don't study history are doomed to repeat it. By know the history of homeschooling we have a much better chance of protecting our freedom to homeschool.
