Janine and I have been blogging for three years. Every so often I'll go to write a post and think: "I've already written about that."
Tim Stahmer has an interesting take on this issue in Practicing For Perfection:
----------
Tom is concerned that he might be repeating himself, “writing exactly the same posts over and over”.
As I approach my sixth anniversary of blogging and almost 3000 rants (can that be right?), I’ve also had the same thoughts.
But I’ve also given up worrying about it.
Just consider each of those repeated posts as one more draft on the way to the perfect essay.
----------
Humm... I wonder which post I should rewrite?

I've been blogging for a while and I probably am repeating myself but I will keep on blogging because I enjoy it. :-)
Repetition enhances learning... I figure if I say things enough times people will finally get it. LOL.
I always think of some of the magazines I have subscribed to that every 12-18 months or so they feature the same articles re-written. (50 mutual funds you should own, Easy home improvement ideas, the best desktop printers reviewed , etc.) The "pros" do this why can't we. The information and examples change but the story is about the same.
Recently there was some article about if you tell people the same thing three times they are more likely to accept your point. Maybe we just need to write similar posts three times, over a week or two. I wonder how many people would comment about the repetition.
