Mom Sells Rule-Breaking Son's Car
The ad reads: "OLDS 1999 Intrigue. Totally uncool parents who obviously don't love teenage son, selling his car. Only driven for three weeks before snoopy mom who needs to get a life found booze under front seat. $3,700/offer. Call meanest mom on the planet."
I bet that's a mistake he's not going to make again. It is refreshing to see a parent who is not worried that their child will get mad.

That's hilarious. Not only is this mom doing the best thing for her son (rather than trying to be his pal), she has a sense of humor too.
My husband is a police officer, and he sees a lot of kids (teens) doing stupid things. The area he works in is very affluent, and many parents buy their kids out of any and all trouble they get into--bailing them out of jail after they have been drinking and driving, using or selling drugs, even assaulting others. But every once in a while he arrests a teen or young adult whose parents give them a reality check. He's actually had a couple of parents call him and say something to the effect of, "How long will son be in jail? Good! I am NOT coming to get him, he needs to learn a lesson!" It's always refreshing to see parents willing to be *responsible* parents, teaching their children--however old they are--that actions have consequences.

It is sad when the parents make things worse by bailing their kids out. I'm sure he has some stories to tell.
I saw the promos for Ellen's talk show that she was having "the meanest mom on the planet" on today. I bet it was this lady!
