I've watched with interest the phenomenon of the "Lost Camera" blog. For those of you who haven't followed the story, a woman named Judith lost her camera on vacation in Hawaii. A family found the camera and reported it to the park service. When Judith contacted the so called Good Samaritans, she was shocked to hear that they no longer wished to return the camera but had given it to their son 9 year old son.
Her "Lost Camera" blog became wildly popular. The story spread to other bloggers and then to the mainstream media. Articles about "a tale of epic blog proportions" ran in the National Post and Baltimore Sun.
I was pleased to read on her blog that through legal channels and a bit of social pressure, Judith was able to get her camera returned. She shared some of the details.
The moral to the story is that blogging is a powerful tool.
So thanks to all you bloggers out there. Together we can make the world a better place.

Thanks for the update. I've been so into my research and writing the last week I lost track of that story a while ago. I'm glad to know it's be retrieved.
Me too.
