Links to interesting postings - 6 March 2006

Daryl Cobranchi at HE&OS links to a good post about some problems a homeschooling mother has in getting along with another homeschoolers. It is a good post. Black and White looks like a blog worth checking out on a regular basis.

reddit had Why Schools Don’t Educate at the top this morning when I first checked to see what was hot. It has now fallen to second, but it still has 200 points, so it is doing well. Why Schools Don’t Educate is a speech John Taylor Gatto when accepting the New York City Teacher of the Year Award on January 31, 1990. He made so many good points.

My husband just had someone submit his most recent post to Reddit. He's gotten quite a few hits from it. Then I remembered reading about it here but didn't check it out. I went back and posted something just to see how it worked. Very cool indeed. Thanks for passing this along. It would be awesome to have a homeschool version of this.

In some ways this:

http://reddit.com/search?q=homeschool

is a way to use reddit for finding homeschooling posts.

Spread the word about reddit. I think the more people we tell, the more useful it will be.
