Tricks of the trade, and a great homeschool project

From Clicked!

There is a Tricks of the Trade blog which collects better ways to do things. There were some fun ideas.

Clicked! also mentioned a site showing you how to build your own hoverboard. Maybe in a year or two as my daughters get older we'll give this a try.

I'm glad I saw this :) We have been trying to find instructions on a hoverboard since my son watched Back to the Future 2 with me. Of course we know it's not a hoverboard like in the movie :)

If you do build the hoverboard, please let me know how it goes. I would like my daughters to have some experience in building stuff. I've been thinking about building a small go-kart in a couple years. But the hoverboard is also pretty cool.

Although somewhat ironic, there's a nice, little hoverboard project at Mike in Texas' blog.

Why ironic? Because Mike's a public school science teacher and a dyed-in-the-wool public school partisan.
