Doug French predicts an imploding education industry

Doug French has some interesting ideas in Conventional Education Will Go the Way of Farming.  He predicts that like farming, higher education will become much more efficent and it will take much fewer people to teach the millions of students.

Worth reading.

I have wondered at times if there will be a homeschooling movement for college education.  As the price continues to explode, the justification of expected economic return fades away.  But the knowledge and skills are worth mastering, if only the price were cheaper.
