What is your political IQ?

Another fun link from my mother: The Pew Political IQ.

I missed two questions.

Great link! - Can I brag and say I only missed one?

12 for 12, but I guessed lucky on the Iraq/Afganistan casualty numbers and the US debt holders. Some questions were ambiguous, like the unemployment rate (did they mean official, or counting those no longer working).

Just please don't ask me to spell correctly, diagnose a engine problem, hang a door (plumb), or number the electrons in successive orbitals of elements past carbon.

Congratulations both of you.

I guessed on two, and guessed wrong. Bummer.

Okay, in the interest of fair play, I must admit that I was not absolutely certain about a couple of my answers besides the one I got wrong. :)

Thanks again for the fun link. It made me feel smart for half a day. Now back to reality!

I missed one question. I'm not sure if that's good or bad! ;) Is there such a thing as too much news or being too politically aware?

I got 12 for 12 but I've always been good at multiple choice tests. I would've done worse had I been asked to supply the correct answer from my own brain. Michale Steele's name for example or the percentage of oil that is imported. But I do think it's a very sad commentary that 58% of the general U.S. public got fewer than half correct even with the answer staring them in the face :-(

Crimson Wife, maybe you should run for office! :-)

It would be nice to have an honest, well informed, politician.

I got one wrong! It was the percentage of oil imported to the US. I went back and forth on that and picked the wrong one. I wasn't sure who Colbert was - that was a total guess. I also had the same question as Malcolm on the unemployment rate.
