A thought on bravery from J.K. Rowling

From A.Word.A.Day:

It takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to our enemies, but just as much to stand up to our friends.

Sometimes I think it takes more courage to stand up to our friends and people are more likely to stand up to a stranger than someone they know. If it was an easy thing to do, there would be no issue with peer pressure. But none the less, very insightful words.

I agree.

I am often surprised by how many people will stand by a friend or family member, even when they know the person did something wrong.
