Space Access 2009 - Lee Valentine - Space Studies Institute

Lee Valentine talked about the Space Studies Institute (SSI) and what they've done over the last 32 years.

Many people here at Space Access are interested in getting into space. SSI is looking at what can happen once we get into space. For example they are looking at moving or mining asteroids.

The last couple years have been rough on SSI. An executive director had a stroke and resigned. A chairman died. A director of research has resigned.

There are plans for a SSI conference this year. They have moved SSI headquarters to the Mojave spaceport.
