John Garvey's company Garvey Spacecraft is working on nano-satellite launching. They tried a number of things over the years, and then about six years ago decided to focus. Their initial plan was to try to launch 10 kg up to 250 km in a circular orbit.
John showed the iterations they've done. They work with Cal State Long Beach. Over the years they've had hundreds of students go out with them to the desert.
They use LOX, it is pretty standard. He had a funny line about they let people with college degrees handle LOX.
