The National Home Education Legal Defense (NHELD) issues bulletins on current topics relevant to homeschoolers. They've recently published two:
Bulletin #66: The “GIVE” Act has some reasons why homeschoolers, and parents, may want to be concerned about the Generations Invigorating Volunteerism and Education (GIVE) Act.
Bulletin #67: The Parental Rights Amendment has several reasons why we should oppose a federal constitutional ammendment to "grant" parental rights.
These are both worth reading.
