Zero Intelligence - have to follow the procedures, even if they don't make sense

California Student Stops Out-of-Control School Bus; Gets Detention for Skipping Class tell another story of classic public school zero intelligence.

15-year-old Amanda Rouse went to school, but felt sick on the bus ride to school. Instead of calling in sick she asked the bus driver to take her back to the bus yard. The bus had a load of elementary school children when the driver fell out of her seat and hit her head. Amanda quickly reacted bringing the bus to a stopped.

Amanda is a hero. She may have saved lives.

But the public school has procedures. One of them was Amanda was suppose to call in sick. This isn't a law. It wasn't passed by a legislative body and signed by a governor or president. The public school district decided that since Amanda broke the rules she has to serve time. She has been told she has to attend Saturday school.

I hope her parents yank her out and homeschool her.
