Tourism loves homeschoolers

Valerie Moon reports on Homeschooling’s effect on tourism. As more and more people homeschool, more families travel while others are in school. This allows Tourism trade to extend visitor season.

We love to take advantage of cheaper rates and smaller crowds when we travel.

We took a trip to Colorado in October, and on a weekday we visited the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. The place was full of kids, but we noticed there were also a bunch of parents there too, so we figured it couldn't be a g-school filed trip. Sure enough, it was a local homeschooling group. The next day we were at the Manitou Springs cliff dwellings, and sure enough, more homeschoolers. It really is nice that homeschooling provides the flexibility to do those things.
