Tag, I'm it.

Spunky tagged me to answer a few homeschooling questions.

1) ONE HOMESCHOOLING BOOK YOU HAVE ENJOYED
The Well Trained Mind by Susan Wise Bauer was the first homeschool book we every read. We also enjoyed Home Educated and Now Adults by Brian D. Ray, Ph.D.

2) ONE RESOURCE YOU WOULDN'T BE WITHOUT
The internet and specifically google.com. I don't know how people did research before.

3) ONE RESOURCE YOU WISH YOU HAD NEVER BOUGHT
Saxon Phonics. I bought it used from someone who used only the first lesson. I did about 3 lessons and gave it away to someone at the park.

4) ONE RESOURCE YOU ENJOYED LAST YEAR.

Daily Grams Work books. They provide a short review of grammar concepts.

5) ONE RESOURCE YOU WILL BE USING NEXT YEAR
Brain POP. Another homeschooler told me about it. They have cute little info segments and quizzes on just about any topic from math, science, social studies and language arts. Brain Pop has a free month trial and then it is something like $7 a month.

6) ONE RESOURCE YOU WOULD LIKE TO BUY
Some foreign language program, if I could figure out which one to buy.

7) ONE RESOURCE YOU WISH EXISTED
Instant meals. Just add water and Viola! and it becomes a healthy, home cooked meal.

8) ONE HOMESCHOOLING CATALOGUE YOU ENJOY READING
Veritas Press

9) ONE HOMESCHOOLING WEBSITE YOU USE REGULARLY
Wikipedia (the online encyclopedia)

10) TAG 5 PEOPLE
I'm going to have to come back to this one. I have to find out who has already been tagged. We have guests and I haven't read any blogs for a few days or so.

For foreign languages I like Power Glide. We have used it for Japanese and are now using it for Spanish.

I'm nodding my head with you about the internet. How do people live without it? LOL. Almost everything I'm usiing either comes from there or the library.
