We have hit the 500 post mark, and we're taking a vacation

Blogger says we have hit the 500 mark! It has been a fun nine months. We have learned a lot, and made some great friends.

Having hit a 500 post milestone it is a bit ironic that I'm announcing that blogging at Why Homeschool will be a bit light over the next couple days. We are going on a short four day cruise. The ship leaves later today and we'll return back on Friday morning. We've been told that accessing the internet costs $1.00 a minute. So we don't plan to post very often.

We had planned to take the cruise back in March for our anniversary. A month before the planned cruise in March we were delighted to find out Janine was pregnant. Unfortunately the the pregnancy ended and Janine developed serious complications. Janine's doctor said it was not safe to travel, and we canceled the cruise. Carnival was very gracious. They gave us about half the money back, and the rest as a credit. Janine wrote a very sad letter detailing the unfortunate situation. She included pictures of our daughters and a letter from her doctor.
