The Chicago Tribune reports that blind high-schoolers are being required to take driver's education. These are students who don't plan to ever drive. (With medical technology making rapid advances maybe the Chicago Public Schools know something the rest of us don't know.)
With home schooling you can have students take classes they are ready for, they need, and they can handle. They don't have to take classes which have no relevance.

This is so crazy it is hard to believe it is true.
My wife said that the blind students could get out of the class, if they knew enough how to ask. The average public school bureaucrat didn't seem to know it was an option.
