Years ago a friend pointed me to an article about how some American lawyers were moving to Japan. He said that if enough lawyers moved to Japan it would destroy their economy. Joanne Jacobs and Chris Correa have the updated version. Chris found an article discussing how China has adopted some of our education practices and is suffering the consequences.
Daryl Cobranchi discusses and links to a post by Tenn. Tenn has a good analogy on the different between homeschooling and doing public school at home. It is the difference between having a home business and working at home for someone else.
Kimberly Swygert has a post about a principal who suspends both the bully and the victim where there is a fight. There is an interesting unintended consequence. Kimberly also links to how public school officials like standarized tests and regulations, for homeschoolers.
I always enjoy the HomeSchoolBuzz summary of homeschooling in the news. Today there is a link to an article about a nine year old girl who is making money as a comic book artist. And a link to a column by a woman who use to feel sorry for homeschoolers, until she meet some, and then realized they are often more socially mature than public schooled children.
