Expectations for participants in the Carnival of Space

I thought it might be helpful to share my goals for the Carnival of Space, and some of my expectations. (This is patterned after similar goals and expectations for the Carnival of Homeschooling.)
I see two main goals for the Carnival of Space. The first is the carnival is a great way to expose space bloggers to blog readers who might not normally be reading space blogs. Second the carnival is a way to promote space.

Here are some of my expectations for those who participate in the Carnival of Space:
1) Bloggers will submit only one post each week. It would be unfair to give one blogger several spots in the limelight.
2) Bloggers will not resubmit a post once it has appeared in a Carnival of Space.
3) The posts will be on topic. This is the Carnival of Space. The posts need to be about space.
4) The posts will be respectful. This is not the place to bash. We can have disagreements, but the carnival is not the place to attack or mock a group of people. So we'll do the lawyer thing, this includes, but is not limited to, religious groups, ethnic groups, teachers, and political parties.
5) Participants will promote the carnival. They should at least mention the carnival in their blog.

One final thought, as you pick a post for the Carnival of Space, remember a large number of the readers will be from the general public. If you want people to return to your blog, it helps to be positive and entertaining.

If you are interested in hosting the Carnival of Space, read the guidelines for hosting the carnival and then send me an email.
