I...I began homeschooling my daughter in 9th grade. I worried a lot about how she would feel being out of the usual high school experiences. For a while she did too. Recently, we drove past the high school she briefly attended. Since we were driving along the back side of the school I figured she didn't recognize it and I made a joke about her completely forgetting what her old school looked like. She replied that she would feel so bad having to sit in school all day, 5 days a week. In fact, if she ever had to go back to school, she would cry. I breathed a silent sigh of relief. We have come far enough in our education endeavor for her to no longer miss school. While trying not to cheer triumphantly, I asked her why she felt that way. She replied that she gets so much more work done, her schoolwork is more interesting because we LEARN/WORK not just perform busywork and she has plenty of time for her hobbies, friends, working, volunteering and family time. This is a 180 degree turnaround from where we were 14 months ago.Pockysmamahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17578653699220539007noreply@blogger.com
